My name is Laura, and I’m glad you’re here! I hope you will join me on the journey of becoming the best home educators we can be – and the best people we can be. I believe that we must model lifelong learning ourselves if we want our children to become lifelong learners.
My goal is for you to feel inspired and equipped to teach your children with diligence and grace. As a second-generation homeschooler and a former preschool teacher, I have a unique perspective on the benefits of homeschooling and one-on-one instruction.
I’m married to my college sweetheart. We met at 7:30 in the morning, just outside of a big auditorium on campus. We were both studying for an honors theology test. Yes, we are every bit as nerdy as that sounds! Both of us were homeschooled and had positive experiences. We discussed education extensively when we were dating and planned for me to homeschool any children we might have.
We have three children now. During the 2022-2023 school year, I will be homeschooling my 1st grade son and my pre-K son. Additionally, I’ll be chasing my 2 year old daughter.
Here you will find pieces about classical education, lifelong learning, and homeschooling the early years, written through the lens of a biblical worldview. If you would like to stay up to date, you can subscribe to my newsletter:
